Denita Pickens-Jones
Founder & Executive Director, P.U.R.E. Youth Group

Denita Pickens-Jones is the passionate founder and Executive Director of P.U.R.E. (Positive, Unity, Resource, Education) Youth Group, an organization committed to inspiring and empowering young people to unlock their full potential and discover their purpose. With over 15 years of experience in executive management, entrepreneurship, financial risk assessment, and leadership in both public and private sectors, Denita brings a wealth of knowledge and a steadfast dedication to excellence in every aspect of her work.

Denita holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Organizational Management and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Patten University. She continues to pursue personal and professional growth, having completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of California, Davis, and is currently working toward her Doctorate at Walden University. Denita’s leadership is guided by a strong foundation of integrity, strategic vision, and a relentless passion for effecting positive change in the lives of youth.

A writer and producer of the stage play “U R Not Alone,” Denita has leveraged the arts to inspire and engage youth, touring over 40 cities as part of P.U.R.E. Youth Group’s outreach efforts. As a seasoned motivational speaker, she addresses the unique challenges and pressures faced by adolescents, equipping them with the tools to navigate these obstacles with resilience and hope. Denita’s impact extends across numerous communities in California, where she has organized events that not only benefit youth but also uplift entire families. Through strategic fundraising, partnerships with celebrities, entertainment industry sponsorships, and community collaborations, she minimizes financial barriers and ensures greater access to P.U.R.E.'s programs.

Denita’s true passion lies in seeing young people flourish. As the visionary behind P.U.R.E. Youth Group, she works tirelessly to create an environment where youth can recognize their individual value, discover their strengths, and realize their full potential. Denita’s greatest gift is witnessing young people find their voices, knowing that through P.U.R.E., they are empowered to achieve greatness and make a lasting, positive impact on the world.
